Finding friends and fun in the group

I don't know where I'd be without the group, so thanks for all you do. I was so lonely before I joined this group and now I have many friends, lots of fun and everyone is very welcoming at the events. The events keep me busy and I look forward to seeing what will be on each week.

     

So much to look forward to each week

After losing my husband last year, who was my main companion for many years, I moved closer to my family. I didn’t know many people locally. I have made many new friends in this group and I always have something to look forward to each week. It has helped me feel less lonely and I have made friends too, which has been lovely.

     

When we lost my dear dad, mum became so lonely. I would worry about her whilst out at work and when I spoke to her in the evenings, she always said how lonely she felt. Then I stumbled across this group and now have to make an appointment with her to fit me in!! haha! I would definitely recommend this lovely group for your parents, if they are searching for some happiness and friendship. It has put my mind at rest too, knowing mum is happy.

I enjoy the meet ups. I have attended different events and they have all been enjoyable. My wife suggested I join after retiring last spring and I must say, it has been very enjoyable and welcoming.
